Ugly Quilts


Below is an example of the materials you can use in an ugly quilt. On the upper left is a quilt block that just didn't work for me. To its right is some fabric a friend sent me for this quilt. The pink fabric was one of my husband's tshirts that I accidently dyed pink in the wash. : ) To it's right is fabric another friend gave me.


In this picture, the blue fabric on top is fabric I had used for curtains 5 years ago and hadn't found a use for since. The ties I had to buy from a thrift store as my husband wasn't in town when I finished this, and I couldn't raid his half of the closet. : ) The batting (not shown) is a thin mattress pad.
